The people of Nazareth could not accept that this local boy had something to teach them. They refused to listen to his message and hustled him out of the town. For them God was ‘their God’ and God’s blessings were for them alone. Jesus reminded them that is not God’s way. They could not accept it. We ourselves can be guilty of rejecting people because their message doesn’t suit us. We fail to recognise the prophets among us. When have you been challenged to think in new ways that are uncomfortable? Have you excluded these people from your thoughts and concerns?
NO PROPHET ACCEPTED IN HIS HOME TOWN
