Today we welcome Bishop Philip to our parish community. We are delighted to have our Bishop with us and to have the
opportunity to meet with him. This is his first Pastoral visit to our parish.

In a diocese a Bishop is a shepherd of his people, the leader who administers the life of the many parish communities in the diocese. It is a visit from our Apostle Philip to his people and we rejoice and celebrate his presence among us. As Bishop he is the symbol of our unity with all the other communities in the different parishes and the priests in the diocese and our unity with the principle Apostle Francis, Bishop of Rome.
